Ziad Bashir
Ziad Bashir (born August 10, 1977) is a Pakistani businessman and entrepreneur. In 2003, Bashir launched Pakistan's largest lifestyle retail chain, IDEAS, which now boasts over 45 outlets across the country. The chain revolutionized the concept of selling traditional fabrics in Pakistan by creating special packaging that increased sales exponentially. This concept was later adopted by the entire Pakistani fabric market. In 2003, Bashir founded ArwenTech, a global enterprise solution company. ==Early life== Bashir was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, where he attended the Karachi American School and later went on to earn a bachelor's degree in entrepreneurial studies from Babson College in the United States. Bashir's family is known as the first family of textiles in Pakistan. Gul Ahmed Textiles, which was founded by his grandfather Haji Ali Mohammad, is a leading Pakistani fashion brand.
